Overview of Work:
This COVID-19 monitoring initiative and transparent community driven collaboration, has been supporting Ontario's healthcare decision makers since the start of the pandemic with relevant data analysis. I got involved to help transform the communication experience for this new audience, alongside the team of data scientists and medical professionals running this initiative.
Creative Notes:
I saw the way people engaged with a weather app as an opportunity to serve the “household decision maker” better. People normally have a handful of destinations or locations that they track, like where they work, or vacation, or where family lives. This customizable information experience is critical.
This inspired improvements to the website functionality. The ability for users to select public health units that mattered to them to appear at the top of the site, with choices remembered via a simple web cookie. We also developed a push email campaign that allowed the user to get the custom report to their inbox daily or weekly.
